Redlands Airfield is a great location to chill out with friends and family for a few hours.
If you know someone who is doing a parachute jump or a trial microlight flight you are more than welcome to join them at the Airfield. If you don't know anyone, but fancy watching, you're also very welcome!
We have a lovely indoor café on site. Tailwind Café is open at weekends when there's parachuting taking place. So if jumping's cancelled for the day due to bad weather such as high winds or low cloud, then the café is closed as well. If you want to plan your visit and check we're open, please text 07703 182756 either the evening before your visit or on the day.
We have a large indoor and outside seating area with a great up close view of the parachute landing area, the runways and the parachute training and packing area.
The café serves a wide choice of freshly made food and caters for most dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan as well as gluten, dairy and egg free diets. As well as assorted breakfasts, hot filled baps, sandwiches, paninis and jacket potatoes we also serve home- made soup, quiche, chilli, casseroles, cakes and tray bakes.
Dogs (with the exception of assistance dogs) are NOT permitted on the site. Redlands is an active airfield and working farm. Please do not bring them with you as you will be asked to take them home.
There is no accommodation on site and this includes camping and caravans. If you would like to stay in the local area, there are bed and breakfasts in the surrounding villages as well as hotels in Swindon.
